Frequently Asked Questions
What plants are being offered? A variety of annuals, mixed herb containers and hanging baskets are being offered. We encourage customers to purchase full flats, as flats are discounted.
When is the deadline for placing an order? All orders must be placed by or before April 5, 2021.
What size are the plants? Annuals are sold in sets of three 4.5" square containers. Mixed herbs are sold in 12" round containers. Hanging baskets (in assorted colors for each type of plant) are sold in 10" round containers. Flats contain 15 plants, all 4.5" square containers.
Why are you requiring that I order plants in multiples of three? To simplify handling of orders this year, all 4.5" annuals must be ordered in increments of three (unless ordering flats). Each plant is $5, so three plants are $15. This compares to a price of $7 per plant at local garden centers. However, mixed herb containers and hanging baskets (HB) may be purchased individually.
If you order Quantity 1, you will receive three plants. If you order Quantity 2, you will receive six plants, etc.
Can I receive a discount if I purchase a full flat? You will receive a 10% discount when you purchase a full flat. A flat contains 15 plants of the identical color and variety.
You are able to order multiple flats. If you order Quantity 1, you will receive 15 plants. If you order Quantity 2, you will receive 30 plants, etc.
What forms of payment are accepted? Major credit cards are accepted. Payment is due when you place your order.
When and where can I pick up my plants? Pickup is on Friday, April 23, from 1 to 4 pm at 5315 Falmouth Road. Please remain in your car for contactless curbside pickup. Our masked garden club members will load your car. Your order confirmation and ID need to be presented at pickup.
What if I cannot come to pick up my plants at the scheduled pickup time? Please contact Betsy Turley at to arrange a convenient pickup time.
Please know how much we appreciate your participation in our sale! The funds raised support the care of our lovely Corner Garden (at the corner of Duvall Drive and Elliot Road) and the Wild Plant Sanctuary along Jamestown Creek. The Club also donates to national and local conservation and gardening efforts each year.
